Jaguars Earn 5-2 Win Against Thunderbirds
The Jaguars earned a hard-fought, 5-2 win in 10 innings at Thunderdome. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from El Paso pitcher Tien Dung Long. Long went 9 innings and allowed 2 runs. Apasanka Shally closed the game out for Rio de Janeiro, earning his 2nd save. The win lifted the Rio de Janeiro record to 24-23.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Lich Huynh? The five-time Defender of the Year Award winner Huynh stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put Rio de Janeiro up, 3-2. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 1 double and 2 singles.

Huynh attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
