Mexico City picked up a win at Ballpark of Mexico City, bumping off the Chicago Beefs, 5-3. Pitcher Rade Perisic was a major reason the Aztecs emerged victorious. Perisic got the win, improving to 2-5. He gave up 4 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Mexico City goes to 30-17. The win puts them 3½ games up in their division.

Lu-po-teh Guao, who finished 4th in the ABL in triples with 9 in 2148, took Chicago hurler Ethan Vergette deep in the bottom of the second. His 2-run home run put the Aztecs on top, 2-0. In all, Guao had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"I'm just trying to make sure I'm focused for each and every pitch," said Perisic.
