Pharaohs Get Hard-Earned Win
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Cairo Pharaohs and the Paris Fleur-de-Lis, Damien Duval, who finished 4th in the ABL in innings pitched with 233.1 in 2151, proved to be the difference. The Cairo left-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Pharaohs win. Reliever Carlos Mitchinson picked up the win. His record improves to 2-1. Alberto Robles took the loss. The loss drops Paris to 3-2.
Abhirama Sreedharan was the walk-off hero for Cairo. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Pharaohs first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This place was electric at the end," Duval said.
