Falcons Squelch Monks Offense in Shutout Win
Miguel Salazar, who finished 4th in the ABL in strikeouts with 108 last year, propelled his team to victory over the Daegu Monks. The final score was 6-0, Karachi. Salazar, now 4-0, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 9, walking 3, and allowing no runs. Karachi bumps their record to 20-27 with the win.

Jesús Álvarez had a big run-scoring double for the Falcons in the bottom of the third inning. With Karachi leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a curveball from 34-year old right-handed pitcher Dodek Wolotka and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 11th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Falcons ahead, 2-0.

"Miguel made his pitches," said Karachi manager Slu Baseball.
