Los Angeles Stars starter Roger Oldford led his team to victory over the Santo Domingo Palmchats, 4-2. The right-hander was locked-in. The second-place Palmchats dropped to 26-22.

Din Khokhar had a big 2-run double for the Stars in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Los Angeles trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from Kent Martin, who finished 4th in the ABL in strikeouts with 192 in 2146, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Stars ahead, 2-1.

"Roger was the difference maker. He was emotionally under control, had good stuff and makeup," said Los Angeles manager Alex G.
