Aztecs Post 6-3 Win Over Detroit
|
The Mexico City Aztecs defeated the Detroit Blue Gills, 6-3, in Americas Baseball League action at Detroit Ballpark. Tai Khuc pulled his weight. The 7-year veteran went 4 for 5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles. The winner was Jesús Flores, who threw 87 pitches over 5 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 3 hits. Joseph Muller closed it out for his 13th save.
Piotr Westmann, who finished 3rd in the ABL in stolen bases with 39 in 2150, helped out the Mexico City cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the left fielder went 1 for 4 with a double and was hit by a pitch.
"It feels good to get this one," Khuc told the Mexico City Today.
The last-place Blue Gills now sit at 13-35.
