Late Offense Lifts Sao Paulo to 6-4 Victory
The Sao Paulo Toucans picked up a win at Thunderdome, knocking off the El Paso Thunderbirds, 6-4. Starting pitcher Mariano Segura was a big reason why. The win went to Guido Spano in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Tien Dung Long took the loss. Xing-hua Hua locked down his 9th save.

Sao Paulo used the timely hitting of Rubén Ramos to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Toucans on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Sao Paulo manager Casey Blake DeWitt was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.

The Toucans improved their record to 26-23 by beating El Paso.
