The Santo Domingo Palmchats used a great performance from 43-year old right-handed pitcher Jaime Torres to beat the Puerto Rico Coqui, 2-1, at Ballpark of San Juan. Torres got the win, improving to 6-2. He gave up 3 hits and walked 0 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. With the victory, the Palmchats upped their record to 28-21.

George Robinson came through with a big-time hit for Santo Domingo. The pinch hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
