With Late Score, Foxes Beat Pharaohs
|
Both teams had their chances, but the Black Forest Foxes eventually prevailed.
Black Forest right-hander António Colón helped his team edge Cairo by the score of 3-2. Colón kept the opposing lineup in check. With the win over Cairo, the Foxes improved to 21-28.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Ewan Brouard? The Black Forest third baseman had a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Foxes on top, 1-0. For the game, Brouard had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"We were in it," said Cairo manager J Stell. "We just didn't score enough runs."
