Multi-HR Game for Sosa in 7-1 Win

Getting offensive support from Jesús Sosa, the Los Angeles Stars topped the Mexico City Aztecs, 7-1. Sosa was 2-3 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Stars. Helge Avdakov was the winner. He's now 4-3. The loser was Mariano Segura. The defeat makes Mexico City 29-21.
With Los Angeles leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Sosa hit a fastball from Mariano Segura for a 2-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Stars ahead, 3-0.
"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Sosa told the Los Angeles Chronicle.
