The El Paso Thunderbirds had to overcome a big game from Sao Paulo catcher Roberto Martínez to leave Thunderdome with a victory. And they did, winning, 5-4. Martínez went 2 for 2 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win went to Carlos García in relief, making him now 2-0. Luis Moreno took the loss for Sao Paulo. With the win, El Paso pushed its record to 29-22.

El Paso took control in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and the bases loaded, Ari Lueger hit a 2-run single to make it 3-1, Thunderbirds.
