Fitzies Get Dramatic 7-6 Triumph
Karachi got a decent performance from pitcher Miguel Salazar, but it wasn't enough to beat the Tokyo Fitzies. Tokyo won the Fitzies Stadium contest, 7-6. Salazar threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. The winner in relief was Jhong-shun Liu. He is now 4-2. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 2 innings. With the win, Tokyo raised its record to 34-18.

Alonso Cardenas was the walk-off hero for Tokyo. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Fitzies third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"The crowd was boisterous tonight," said Cardenas.
