Karachi and Tokyo got after it at Fitzies Stadium.

The Karachi Falcons besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Tokyo center fielder Khaldun Kanja by beating the Fitzies, 7-5, at Fitzies Stadium. Kanja went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Susumu Okamoto earned the win to go to 3-6. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, with 4 walks and 6 strikeouts in 8 innings of work.

Karachi won the game in part because of Jesús Álvarez. The catcher ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Falcons ahead, 5-0. For the game, Álvarez had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"We ground out the win," said Álvarez. "That's all that matters."

The Falcons saw their win-loss record go to 24-30. At the same time, the Fitzies fell to 35-19.
