The Beijing Emperors stopped the Black Forest Foxes, 8-4, at The Den. The Emperors got a big game from Jack Mitchell, who went 4-5 with 4 singles. Vladimir Cvijic got the win, improving to 6-3. He held the Foxes to 4 runs on 6 hits over 6.2 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 6. The Emperors now have a record of 37-18 with the win over Black Forest.

Early in the game, right fielder Balagra Surupa had a 2-run home run for Beijing. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Emperors on top, 2-0.
