Jaguars Rally Late to Clip Havana
|
The game between Rio de Janeiro and Havana is in the books, despite a little rain.
Rio de Janeiro Jaguars pitcher Mathias Lefort was in fine form, leading his team past the Havana Dolphins, 1-0. Britt Leonard, who finished 2nd in the ABL in innings pitched with 231.1 in 2139, nailed down the save.
Jorge Arroyo had a direct impact on the outcome. Arroyo contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning to put Rio de Janeiro up, 1-0.
"I was a little disappointed," said Havana manager Dan Farnell. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
With the win, Rio de Janeiro elevates its record to 3-3.
