Chicago Beefs hurler La`nh Vu was at his best as he beat the Santo Domingo Palmchats, 1-0.

"He just kept the ball down, did a good job, made his pitches," said Santo Domingo manager Huck L. Berry. "We didn't do a good job making adjustments, so we helped him out a little bit."

Vu, who finished 5th in the IBL in strikeouts with 171 in 2151, fired a 2-hitter and totaled 3 strikeouts and 1 walk in the shutout performance.
