The Cairo Pharaohs locked up a win at Monks Stadium, knocking off the Daegu Monks, 4-2. On the mound for Cairo was right-hander Pete Martin. He played a major role in the triumph. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Boris Simovic. With the win, the Pharaohs have a record of 29-27.

Kaleb Ame came through with a big-time hit for Cairo. The shortstop smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Ame said.
