Wet weather did not postpone the Havana-El Paso ballgame.

The Havana Dolphins knocked off the El Paso Thunderbirds, 8-6, at El Estadio Latinoamericano. Abdul-Wahhab bin Idris hit 2 singles and 1 double, while driving in 3 runs. The Dolphins improved their record to 32-25 with the win over El Paso.

Shafiq Joyo was 1 for 4 with a hit by pitch for Havana. The 2149 Rookie of the Year Award winner had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Tien Dung Long. It was his 28th RBI of the season.

"It never gets old," said bin Idris. "Winning, that is."
