The Sao Paulo Toucans knocked off the Los Angeles Stars, 6-2, in Americas Baseball League action at Toucans Ballpark. Sao Paulo pitcher and Mecca, Saudi Arabia, native Talal Yunus had an outstanding performance. The 4th-place Stars have lost 5 consecutive games.

The Toucans got a big at-bat from left fielder Peter Tighe. For the game, Tighe went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Sao Paulo a 5-1 lead.

Tighe attributed the win to his team's "tenacity."
