The home squad pulled out a thrilling walk-off win.

The Sao Paulo Toucans got a hard-earned win over the Detroit Blue Gills, 5-4, in 10 innings. Luis Freitas provided some offensive muscle for Sao Paulo. He went 3-4 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Guido Spano picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-5. Osman Sumbatashvili suffered the loss.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jeremy King in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Osman Sumbatashvili to win the game for Sao Paulo. The home crowd went nuts.

"It's great when the crowd goes berserk," King said.

With this game in the books, Sao Paulo is 28-29, Detroit 14-43.
