Foxes Edged, 5-2, by Beijing
|
The Beijing Emperors got a stellar performance from pitcher Érico Caramelo, who handcuffed the Black Forest offense en route to a win, 5-2, at The Den. Beijing pitcher Pat Jones got the win. He's now 2-1. Dae-il Kim was tagged with the loss. The Emperors go to 38-19, putting them first in the Intercontinental Baseball League Asian Division.
Hong Due helped out the Beijing cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the first baseman was 2-4 with 2 singles.
"I'm happy we won," said Caramelo. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
