bin Suhayb has 5 RBI in Rome Win
|
The Rome Generals beat the Tokyo Fitzies, 7-6, at Fitzies Stadium. Rome shortstop Dharr bin Suhayb had the hot bat. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 5. The win went to Ángel Castillo in relief, making him now 2-0. Javier Torres took the loss for Tokyo. The Generals now have a record of 27-31 with the win over Tokyo.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Sami Muroki? The Rome first baseman had a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Generals on top, 6-5. For the game, Muroki had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"I felt good up there," said Muroki. "I saw the ball well."
