Generals Rally For Late Win Over Falcons
Miguel Salazar, who finished 5th in the IBL in ERA with 3.18 last year, had a strong outing for the Rome Generals against the Karachi Falcons at Muhammad Ali Jinnah Stadium. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 6-3 win. Rome reliever Efren Paculdar snagged the win, upping his record to 2-0. Kateb Ouko shouldered the loss. Roberto Lugo got the save, the 2nd for him this season.

Sami Muroki came through with a big-time hit for Rome. The first baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 5-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Miguel giving us the start that he did was huge," said Rome manager Tx Horns.

The loss drops Karachi to 1-5.
