The Black Forest Foxes defeated the Daegu Monks, 5-2, in Intercontinental Baseball League action at Monks Stadium. Black Forest pitcher José Barajas had a standout performance. Barajas, the winner, moves to 3-5. He threw 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up 5 walks. Wilson Rodríguez recorded the save, his 12th.

Abdul Salam Durrani helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run single to give Black Forest a 2-0 lead.

"We did a lot of things right," said Durrani.

The Foxes improved their record to 25-33 with the win over Daegu.
