|
The Oslo Voyageurs weathered an outstanding game by Melbourne right fielder Ishtaq Abbasi to topple the Meteors, 5-3. Abbasi hit 2 home runs. Picking up the save was six-time All-Star Hayato Tsuchida. The Oslo winning streak has reached 3 games.
Oslo took a 3-2 lead on Celestino Mximo's 10th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Mximo hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Melbourne pitcher Byron Williams visibly frustrated.
Said Oslo manager Marq Ualler: "At the end of the day, these guys have to perform between the lines, and I think they did."
