The Los Angeles Stars eked out a 3-2 win versus the Havana Dolphins at Field of the Stars. Nobody did more than pitcher Maximino Trapa. He was terrific. The setback makes Havana 34-26.

Had Brian Hurt not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Hurt hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Stars.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Los Angeles skipper Alex G.
