The Santo Domingo Palmchats topped the Los Angeles Stars, 10-7, at Field of the Stars. Santo Domingo shortstop Lorenzo Ríos was a spark plug for the offense. He went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Kil-hyun Kim closed it out for his 14th save. Santo Domingo goes to 33-28, Los Angeles to 25-36.

Santo Domingo used a timely hit from Eudaldo Eslava to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Palmchats ahead, 9-7. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"We got the victory," said Eslava. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
