Dolphins Hand Mexico City 8-2 Loss
|
Havana beat Mexico City in a rain-soaked ballgame.
Havana picked up a win at El Estadio Latinoamericano, bumping off the Mexico City Aztecs, 8-2. Pitcher Rens Buizer was a major reason the Dolphins emerged victorious. After today's action, Havana sits at 35-26; Mexico City slips to 34-27.
Havana right fielder António González contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a changeup to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 78th hit of the season and put the Dolphins ahead, 2-0.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Buizer said after the game.
