Los Angeles Stars starter Octávio Díaz turned in a top-notch performance against the Santo Domingo Palmchats at Field of the Stars. The result was a win for the Stars, 5-1. With the victory, the Stars record stands at 27-36.

Velimir Aleksic, who finished 3rd in the ABL in stolen bases with 47 in 2151, took Santo Domingo hurler Jaime Torres deep in the bottom of the second. His 3-run home run put the Stars on top, 3-0. In all, Aleksic had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"At the end of the day, it's about putting up zeros," said Díaz.
