Rome Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
Rome Generals starter Carlos Rúbio pitched well against the Melbourne Meteors at The Colosseum, leading his team to a win, 4-3. The win went to Roberto Lugo in relief. His record improves to 4-5. Max Schmalzl took the loss. With the win, Rome goes to 29-34, while the Meteors fall to 29-34.

Rome got a knockout punch from Edgardo Román. The pinch hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"The crowd was juiced," said Román.
