Havana Dolphins pitcher Yoshifusa Hasegawa was in fine form, leading his team past the Mexico City Aztecs, 2-1. The winner was Havana reliever Deo Sudeshna, now 2-1. The loser was Stanley Merritt. Picking up his 4th save was seven-time All-Star Kwan-yew Lei.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, António González was at the plate when Havana scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Dolphins to go in front, 2-1.

"I was a little disappointed," said Mexico City manager Square Drive. "We could've and should've scored more runs."

The victory makes Havana 6-1.
