Stars Take Down Jaguars, 9-7
The Los Angeles Stars stopped the Rio de Janeiro Jaguars, 9-7, behind an impressive performance from Junji Yoshino. The two-time All-Star made life miserable for Rio de Janeiro pitching. He was 4 for 5 with a double, 3 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Ismael Mata claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. "Just trying to keep things simple and helping the team win any way I can," Yoshino told a local reporter after the game.
