The Rome Generals picked up a win at Pharaohs Ballpark, courtesy of Adrien Verger. The right-hander helped his team stop the Cairo Pharaohs, 3-2. Picking up his 3rd save was 30-year old right-handed pitcher Roberto Lugo. The win moves Rome to a record of 6-1.

With the game tied, 2-2, in the top of the seventh, Verger had a key at-bat for Rome. With a runner on 2nd, Verger hit a run-scoring single off Boris Simovic, making the score 3-2, Generals.

"Adrien showed what he's made of," said Rome manager Tx Horns.
