Riding the 2-hit performance of the 23-year old right fielder Terry Humphries, the Paris Fleur-de-Lis defeated the Rome Generals, 8-1. Humphries yielded 1 run over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 4-4. Paris is now 32-36, while Rome is 32-36.

With Paris leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Humphries hit a cutter from John Collier for a 2-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Fleur-de-Lis ahead, 3-0.
