El Estadio Latinoamericano did not lack for drama.

The Havana Dolphins faced a tenacious opponent in Sao Paulo pitcher Jihad bin Ghazi, but still scratched out a win at El Estadio Latinoamericano by a final score of 5-2 in 10 innings. bin Ghazi went 7.2 innings and allowed 1 run. The triumph puts Havana at 40-30 for the season.

Havana got a knockout punch from Abdul-Wahhab bin Idris. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said bin Idris. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results."
