Raúl Arce, who is tied for 4th in the IBL in complete games with 2, had a strong outing for the Daegu Monks against the Rome Generals at The Colosseum. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 7-3 win. The winner was Arce. He threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Carlos Rúbio. The win puts Daegu at 29-42.

Daegu used a well-timed hit by Philippe Mollet to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Monks ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 1 at-bat, it was important.

"I just trusted my stuff," said Arce.
