The El Paso Thunderbirds topped the Puerto Rico Coqui, 7-3, at Thunderdome. El Paso shortstop Bernard Salle was a spark plug for the offense. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Tien Dung Long picked up the win, improving his season record to 7-4. He struck out 10 in 9 innings. With this game in the books, El Paso is 34-38, Puerto Rico 42-30.
