Mexico City Aztecs starter Enreecko Vergara pitched a good game to help his team take down the Chicago Beefs, 4-1. Vergara picked up the win for Mexico City, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 11-2. With the win, the Aztecs have a record of 41-31.
Felipe Jiménez, who is a two-time Defender of the Year Award winner, had a direct impact on the outcome. Jiménez contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Mexico City up, 4-1.
