In a low-scoring contest between the Rome Generals and the Daegu Monks, 14-year veteran Preki Cvetkovic proved to be the difference. The Rome right-hander earned props for his performance in the 2-1 Generals win. Cvetkovic yielded 1 run over 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 3, and struck out 2. His record improves to 6-5. With the win, the Generals improved to 35-37.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Generals had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when right fielder Cheng-ho Tieh hit a 2-run single. The single came off Ethan Vergette and made the score 2-0, Generals. Tieh went 1-4. He drove in 2 runs.

"I just tried to stick to my strengths," said Cvetkovic.
