Dolphins Earn Win with Late Rally
The Havana Dolphins withstood a fine game by Rio de Janeiro center fielder Lino Bispo at Rio de Janeiro Grounds, to upend the Jaguars, 4-3. Bispo belted 2 home runs. Ferdinando Franchitti, now 1-2, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 0. The first-place Dolphins lifted their record to 42-31.

Havana won the game in part because of Abdul-Wahhab bin Idris. The first baseman ripped a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Dolphins ahead, 4-3. For the game, bin Idris had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
