Black Forest pitcher Daw Gacharia did his part in helping his team defeat the Rome Generals, 4-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Gacharia got the win, improving to 7-7. He gave up 7 hits and walked 3 over 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The loss makes Rome 35-38.

Black Forest used the timely hitting of Manoo Keshava to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Foxes on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I thought we played a nice game," Gacharia told the Black Forest Daily News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
