Martínez Excels, Mexico City Wins Divisional Series Game 1
The Mexico City Aztecs powered past the visiting Chicago Beefs, 10-9, in the opener of the Divisional Series at Ballpark of Mexico City. Mexico City right fielder Héctor Martínez went 1 for 1 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3, to lead the charge. The Aztecs now lead the series 1-0.

In the bottom of the 5th, Mexico City took the lead on a 3-run home run by Zhao-ji Zheng. At the time, the Aztecs were trailing 7-6, but Zheng's hit with two outs against Chicago pitcher Alfredo Tejada put them in front, 9-7.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Martínez.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Mexico City in Mexico City.
