Divisional Series Game 1 Goes to Beijing, Thanks to Sarahani
The Beijing Emperors powered past the visiting Melbourne Meteors, 3-1, in the opener of the Divisional Series at The Bird's Nest. Beijing center fielder Njoroge Sarahani was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once, to lead the charge. The Emperors now lead the series 1-0.

The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Sarahani delivered big-time for Beijing, stroking a dramatic 2-run single off Byron Williams. The game-changing hit put the Emperors on top, 3-1.

Sarahani said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Bird's Nest in Beijing.
