Abbasi Blasts Emperors, Meteors Take Game 3, 11-5
Riding the 2-hit performance of right fielder Ishtaq Abbasi, the Melbourne Meteors stopped the visiting Beijing Emperors, 11-5, in Game 3 of the Divisional Series. Abbasi went 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the Meteors, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.

Masnsen Obadele drew 1 walk in his only trip to the plate against the Emperors. With the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run that put Melbourne in front, 6-5.

"They say the first rule of the playoffs is to win the home games," Obadele said afterward. "It feels nice, but it is kind of what we were supposed to do."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Meteor Crater in Melbourne.
