Behind a fine performance from Sima Lovre, the Melbourne Meteors knocked off the Daegu Monks, 7-6. Lovre was 4-6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 2 for the Meteors. Melbourne is now 36-37. Daegu is 29-44.

Melbourne got a knockout punch from Bobby Wheeler. The third baseman hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the 13th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
