Twice as Nice: Rio de Janeiro Extends Lead to 2-0 With Walk-off Win
A big day at the plate from second baseman Wattas Mwenda was not enough to keep the Rio de Janeiro Jaguars from extending their lead in the WBA Championship Series. The Jaguars topped Mwenda and the Cairo Pharaohs, 4-3, at Rio de Janeiro Grounds in Game 2, and now hold a 2-0 edge in the best-of-9 series. Mwenda went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI in the loss.

Dae-hwan Koo was the walk-off hero for Rio de Janeiro. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Jaguars pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"The crowd was raucous," said Koo.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Rio de Janeiro Grounds in Rio de Janeiro.
