Inagaki Blasts Jaguars, Pharaohs Take Game 7, 7-6
|
The Cairo Pharaohs defeated the Rio de Janeiro Jaguars, 7-6, in 10 innings in Game 7 of the WBA Championship Series. Making an impact was shortstop Hiroyasu Inagaki, who went 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. The win narrows Cairo's deficit in the series to 4-3.
Abdul-Tawwab Talib drew 1 walk for Cairo. With one out and the game tied in the top of the tenth inning, Talib had a clutch at-bat. Facing Rio de Janeiro hurler José Torres, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Pharaohs a 7-6 lead.
"Things broke our way today and that's great," Pharaohs manager J Stell said. "It's important, though, to stay focused and not pat yourself on the back too much. We aren't done yet."
The next game is set to be played for Tuesday, November 6th , 2153 at Pharaohs Ballpark in Cairo.
