Jaguars Hammered by Kesiraju, Drop Game 8 to Pharaohs
The Cairo Pharaohs and the Rio de Janeiro Jaguars will take the WBA Championship Series to a decisive 9th game. In a must-win situation, the Pharaohs beat the Jaguars, 9-6, at Pharaohs Ballpark to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Cairo center fielder Avatsara Kesiraju went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

Abdul-Tawwab Talib helped out the Cairo cause in the bottom of the eighth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 3 with 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"They say the first rule of the playoffs is to win the home games," Kesiraju said afterward. "It feels nice, but it is kind of what we were supposed to do."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Pharaohs Ballpark in Cairo.
