Detroit Blue Gills starter Mu-sang Kim turned in an exceptional performance against the Santo Domingo Palmchats at Estadio Santo Domingo, resulting in a Detroit win, 2-1. Kim, now 5-11, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 9, walking 6, and allowing 1 run. The triumph makes Detroit 18-57.

Detroit took a 2-1 lead on Martin Hansen's 7th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Hansen hit in the top of the eighth, left Santo Domingo pitcher Kent Martin visibly frustrated.
