Emperors Need Extra Frames to Get Past Monks
Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Monks Stadium.

The Beijing Emperors in 11 innings beat the Daegu Monks, 3-0, at Monks Stadium. Starting pitcher Mathieu Richet was a major factor, holding his opponents in check all game. This loss makes it 6 in a row for Daegu.

Though he did not get the decision, Richet did all he could to keep his team close, twirling a shutout through 9 innings, until Beijing eventually rallied past the Monks.

"Mathieu made his pitches," said Beijing manager Kev In.
