Cairo Beats Rome, 6-2

Good production from third baseman George Fisher helped the Cairo Pharaohs topple the Rome Generals, 6-2. Fisher went 3-3 with 3 singles for the Pharaohs. Øivind Ulland, the winner, improved to 1-1. He held the Generals to 2 runs on 6 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 2 and walking 4. Rome now has a record of 6-3.
The Pharaohs got a big at-bat from center fielder Mo Lam. For the game, Lam was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 4th double of the season gave Cairo a 3-2 lead.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Fisher said after the game.
